JR is a proud graduate of Castle Hills’ very own Antonian College Preparatory High School. After Antonian he went on to Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business earning his Bachelors of Business Administration with a double major in Marketing and Management. JR is a proud graduate of numerous leadership programs in the San Antonio area; the Alexander Briseno Leadership Development Program 2012, Leadership San Antonio Class 38 & 43, and North East Independent School District’s Leadership North East 2019.
He is board member for the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Classical Music Institute, Family Violence Prevention Services, and the Salvation Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Center. He is also an active member of the Rey Feo Consejo Educational Foundation. In 2019 he was chosen as one of the “40 Under 40 Movers and Shakers in San Antonio” by the San Antonio Business Journal. He was first elected to City Council at the age of 29 and currently continues his service as Mayor for the City of Castle Hills.
His favorite thing about Castle Hills is: The small-town atmosphere and our premier City services.
Fun fact: In 2018 JR and his best friend completed 15 Rock and Roll Half Marathons all over the world.
