[ARCHIVED] City of Castle Hills – Street Maintenance Project

CASTLE HILLS, Texas – The City of Castle Hill’s City Council approved and authorized the City Manager to execute a contract with Intermountain Slurry Seal, to perform Street Maintenance work as part of the City of Castle Hills Street Maintenance Program at the April 30, 2020 Special City Council Meeting. Intermountain Slurry Seal was selected through our Interlocal Agreement with Bexar County for purchasing services.


Scope:

The scope of the project involves the following streets:

City entered into an Interlocal Agreement (ILA) with Bexar County to assist in securing purchasing services from a County contractor to provide construction enabling the City to take advantage of high volume, low price construction materials for street maintenance service for this project. The 2019 Street Maintenance Program for Seal Coat Projects includes, but not limited to, approximately 29 different streets segments to address a total length of 9.28 miles.

Cost:

Total cost is $216,021, in the FY 2020 Castle Hills Adopted Budget, $400,000 has been programmed in to street maintenance/seal coat projects. 


Project Duration:

The microsurfacing project will start on Monday, June 29, 2020 and will conclude on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, weather permitting. Attached is map of the upcoming work with specific street and days of work.

Intermountain Slurry Seal will be providing yellow door hangers to residents 48 hours in advance of Monday, June 29. The work on Oak Royal will involve the closure of this street from Loop 410 access road to Wickford Way on Monday for five to six hours.
