The City of Castle Hills is opening up the
application process for anyone who is interested in serving on a board,
commission or committee. In addition to the opportunity citizens have to
express their thoughts at City Council meetings and public hearings, Castle
Hills citizens also may apply to serve on one of our boards and
commissions. Serving on a board, commission or committee allows citizens
to actively participate and become involved in your local government.
The City of Castle Hills has current openings
on the following board, commission or committee:
· Zoning Commission
· Architectural Review Committee
· Board of Adjustment
· Parks and Project Committee
Membership to these groups is done on a
volunteer basis. Members are charged with making decisions and advising the City
Council on issues ranging from architectural review to zoning
questions. Serving on a Board or Commission is a direct reflection of the dedication
of our citizens in making Castle Hills a better place to live. Your talent and
expertise can help forge the future of Castle Hills!
Now more than ever, the City of Castle Hills
needs leaders like you to join a Board or Commission to help bridge the gap
between our citizens and the City Council. As a Board or Commission
Member, you will have an opportunity to ensure your community is heard and to
help our City Council form policy decisions that will affect the future of
Castle Hills.
Serving on a board, commission or committee is an excellent way of becoming involved in our local government. Citizens interested in being appointed are urged to complete an application. A copy of the application and description of each board and committee can be found on the City of Castle Hills website at www.cityofcastlehills.com
If you are a current member of a board,
commission or committee and you would like to continue to serve, please submit
an application or notify the City Secretary via email at
citysecretary@castlehills-tx.gov. The application process will be open through
June 5, 2020.
The Mayor and City Council make all the
appointments to the Boards and Commissions. City Council will look to make
appointments to fill these board and commissions at the Regular City Council
Meeting on June 9, 2020.
