FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the WatershedIII Drainage Improvements - Phase I (Banyan Dr. & Glentower Dr.) will be
received by the City of Castle Hills, TX at the office of the City of Castle HillsCity Hall, 209 Lemonwood Drive, Castle Hills, Texas 78213 until 2:00 PM local
time on January 9, 2020 at which time the Bids received will be publicly openedand read. The Project consists of a base bid and two alternate bids.
The base bid consists of drainage
improvements including approximately 761 linear feet of 7’x4’ reinforcedconcrete box culverts (RCBC), concrete rip rap, 4 inlets, junction boxes,
channel excavation and miscellaneous items. Roadway improvements includeapproximately 1,000 square yards of HMAC pavement reconstruction, 2,375 square
yards of new concrete pavement and subgrade, driveway replacement, curbs,sidewalks, surface restoration and miscellaneous items. SAWS water and sewer
and CPS gas adjustments are also included.
Additive Alternate Bid 1 consists ofdrainage improvements including approximately 846 linear feet of 7’x4’ RCBC, 6
inlets, junction box and miscellaneous items.
Additive Alternate Bid 2 consist ofroadway improvements including approximately 2,214 square yards of new concrete
pavement and subgrade, driveway replacement, curbs, sidewalks, surfacerestoration and miscellaneous items.
Bids will be received for a single prime
Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additivealternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. Plans, Specifications, and
Bidding Documents are on file for inspection at www.civcastusa.com There is nocost to view plans, and printing can be done through the website or in your own
office. Sets of hard copies for Bidding
Documents will not be sold.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00PMlocal time on January 2, 2019 at the City of Castle Hills City Hall, 209 Lemonwood
Drive, Castle Hills, Texas 78213. Attendance at the pre-bid conference ishighly encouraged but not mandatory. Bid security shall be furnished in
accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
