SECTION 1 - BID ADVERTISEMENT
Advertisement for CAROLWOOD AND MANTON ROADWAY AND DRAINAGE
IMPROVEMENTS for the City of Castle Hills.
Sealed bids will be received until October 17, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. by the City Secretary at the City
of Castle Hills City Hall, 209 Lemonwood, Castle Hills, TX 78213. Bids will be publicly opened and
read aloud at 2:00 p.m. on October 17, 2024, in the City Council Chamber of the City Hall located
at 209 Lemonwood, Castle Hills, TX 78213.
The city is proposing to reconstruct Manton Lane from N.W. Millitary to Lockhill Selma Road
including a new culvert along Manton Lane just southwest of Lockhill Selma Road and
reconstruct Carolwood Drive from Banyan Drive to Lockhill Selma Road with storm drain
improvements along Carolwood Drive from Banyan Drive to a City of San Antonio property
northeast of the Carolwood Drive and Lockhill Selma Road intersection. The storm drain
improvements will tie into an existing system that ends at the intersection of Carolwood Drive
and Banyan Drive. San Antonio Water System water and sewer improvements will be included
with the project.
Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications are located at
www.civcastusa.com. There is no cost to view the bid documents and can be downloaded and
printed through the website. Sets of hard copies of the Bid Documents will not be sold.
There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting held at City Hall located at 209 Lemonwood, Castle
Hills, TX 78213 on September 26, 2024, at 2:00 P.M.

www.civcastusa.com by 4:00 p.m. on October 9, 2024, or included as part of an addendum.
Bidders must use the bid form provided in the specifications and submit bid in a sealed envelope.
The outside of the envelope must be clearly endorsed “CAROLWOOD AND MANTON ROADWAY
AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS”, ATTN: CITY SECRETARY. Each bid shall be accompanied
by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in the amount of
five percent (5%) of the total bid price. Any bid received after closing time will be rejected and
returned unopened.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond
and a one hundred percent (100%) Payment Bond.
The City of Castle Hills reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to award the bid to the lowest
responsible bidder or to the bidder who provides the best value to the City, and to waive any
informality or technicality in the bid. The City intends to take action within sixty (60) days after the
bid opening.
