Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD)

Purpose

The board may finance all the costs of a crime control and crime prevention program; including the costs for personnel, administration, expansion, enhancement, and capital expenditures.
 

Goals

Acquire new and additional equipment and technology to supply the necessary tools in the hands of officers that will enable them to work more efficiently, accurately, and safely.
Increase police departments capacity for crime investigation and prosecution.
Enhance police departments crime fighting ability by the acquisition of new equipment, added training, and updated technology.

Member Appointment & Terms

The Crime Control and Prevention District consists of 7 regular members. that are citizens of the City. Members are appointed by the City Council for a term of 2 year staggered terms beginning on September 1st of each year.
