The purpose of the Zoning Commission is to make recommendations to the City Council to promote the public health, safety, morals, or general welfare and protect and preserve places and areas of historical, cultural, or architectural importance and significance.

Member Appointment & Terms
The Zoning Commission consists of 5 members and 2 alternates who are citizens of the City. Each member is appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council for a term of 2 years beginning on the 1st day of June of each odd numbered year.
