No person shall act as a peddler, hawker, or solicitor within the city without first obtaining a peddler license in accordance with this chapter. A person must be at least 18 years of age to obtain a peddler license. A canvasser is not required to have a peddler license but any canvasser wanting a peddler license for the purpose of reassuring city residents of the canvasser's good faith shall be issued one, upon request. The hours for solicitation are 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
For specific information on when a license is required and the regulations for individuals planning to engage in solicitor, peddler, or hawker activities visit the City of Castle Hills Code of Ordinances.
When applying for a license the following is required:
- Valid government identification (issued by a government agency within the United States)
- A completed signed application (false information on the application will result in denial of application)
- Agree for the city to conduct a criminal background check (if applicant has been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor involving moral turpitude within the past seven years the application may be denied)
