
CAREER
Ryan D. Rapelye was appointed City Manager in February 2018. Before Coming to the City of Castle Hills. Mr. Rapelye served as Assistant City Manager - General Government for the City of Brenham from 2016 to 2018. As Assistant City Manager for the City of Brenham, Mr. Rapelye had oversight of various City departments such as Public Works, Development Services, Community Services, Information Technology and Economic Development. Prior to the City of Brenham, Mr. Rapelye served as Assistant City Manager for the City of Del Rio from 2011 to 2016 which involved direct oversight of multiple City departments. Before joining the City of Del Rio, Mr. Rapelye worked for the City of San Antonio from 2004 to 2011 with the majority of this time spent in the City Manager's Office where he held two positions: Council Action Officer and a Special Projects Manager. He also worked in the City of San Antonio's Economic Development Department where he was a member of the Industry Development Team. Prior to his work with the City of San Antonio, Ryan worked for the City of College Station from 2001 to 2004, as the Assistant to the City Manager. He began his career with the City of Lubbock as an intern in the City Manager's Office from 2000-2001.
EDUCATION
Mr. Rapelye earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas State University (formerly known as Southwest Texas State University) and a Master in Public Administration from Texas Tech University.

Ryan, has a daughter, Alexandra Paz.
